Izzy is a molecular biologist and medical writer with experience in preclinical and clinical research, data management and organization, and science communication. She draws on her scientific background and experience supporting regulatory programs to help clients interpret complex information and develop clear, well-organized content throughout the submission and review process, including preparation for FDA interactions and Advisory Committee meetings.

Approach

Izzy starts by getting grounded in the science, the data, and what the audience needs to understand. From there, she works with the team to identify the most important information and shape it into clear, concise content.

Her research and project management background helps her see both the details and the broader scientific story. She works closely with cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback, keep documents moving, and ensure the content remains aligned with the regulatory strategy.

Background

Before returning to 3D, Izzy served as Executive Editor for Drug Delivery Leader at Life Science Connect. Earlier in her career, she ran a neuroscience and orthopedic research laboratory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she worked with clients exploring applications of their biologics in different tissue types.

Izzy has led and managed research projects focused on cancer, neuroscience, and biologics. She developed and executed studies to evaluate products for specific indications and translated the findings into white papers, abstracts, posters, and conference presentations.

Izzy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Seton Hill University and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the Uniformed Services University.

In her spare time, Izzy enjoys CrossFit, running 5Ks, traveling, and making memories with her family.
