Kimberly Thompson, ScD founded Kid Risk, Inc. as a non-profit to develop the field of pediatric risk analysis. She is considered a world leader in risk analysis and decision science, health policy, global health, and system dynamics. She leads global health projects related to managing infectious diseases, particularly polioviruses, measles, rubella, and cholera. Dr. Thompson looks at how the type of analysis used (e.g., cost-effectiveness analysis, benefit-cost analysis, decision analysis, value-of-information analysis, risk analysis) influences perceptions and determines policy outcomes.
