Michaela is a seasoned researcher, writer, and editor who works on 3D’s medical writing team to develop effective briefing documents and other scientific, regulatory, and strategic communications.  

Approach 

Michaela leverages her years in scientific publishing, private industry, and on Capitol Hill to analyze complex data and issues, distill their essence, and transform those insights into clear and compelling messages.  

Background 

Before joining 3D, Michaela worked as an editor and production manager for a consulting firm that served the scientific publishing community. Prior to that, Michaela was part of the Global Asset Management Team at McCormick & Company, where she wrote company policy and conducted research. Michaela also spent several years on Capitol Hill, where she worked for the United States Senate conducting research for briefings, meetings, and hearings.  

Michaela earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics at The Johns Hopkins University and went on to attend Cornell University’s School of Public Affairs.  Throughout her time in school, she served in a range of editorial roles on the Hopkins Undergraduate Research Journal, the Cornell Policy Review, and the Cornell International Affairs Review. 

Special Interests 

Over the years, Michaela has volunteered for youth outreach programs, tutoring ESL students in writing.  In her free time, Michaela is an avid photographer and enjoys traveling with her husband and four children.
