Contact MichelleMichelle is a strategic communications lead who specializes in making scientific data relevant to both clinical and lay audiences. With her background in public health and passion for clear communications, she draws from both sides of her brain to help clients translate complex data into clear, memorable messages. Over the past 13 years, she has prepared 3D Communications’ clients for more than 80 FDA and EMA high-stakes regulatory meetings across therapeutic areas.
Approach
Michelle takes an evidence-based approach to communications and tailors proven methods to each presenter’s personal style. Her first conversation with pharma and healthcare professionals is always about the communications goal of the organization and how to bring it back to the patients. When developing strategic scientific messages, Michelle strives for powerful simplicity – messages that influence and pop.
Background
Michelle’s background is in public health and clinical research. She has held numerous positions at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, working in all phases of the research process, from recruitment strategies to data presentation. She has also coordinated federally funded randomized controlled trials, established partnerships with community organizations, and developed and delivered educational training programs to medical practices. She holds a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public Health.
Special Interests
Michelle is passionate about maternal and infant health policy and women’s behavioral health. From her early career in postpartum depression research, she became an advocate for policies that support the physical and mental health of mothers. When she isn’t working, she’s working out: either chasing after her two young children or participating in local fitness events.
