Thomas Fleming, PhD is a Professor of Biostatistics and Statistics at the University of Washington, as well as a Consultant for Fleming Consulting, Inc. in Seattle, Washington. He has been involved in AIDS research efforts for nearly 20 years as an advisor to NIAID, as a collaborator in NIAID's multi-center multi-institution AIDS cooperative groups, as a consultant to industry, as an advisor to the FDA, as an educator, and as a researcher of new statistical methodology. Dr. Fleming’s major research interests are in survival analysis, sequential analysis, cancer clinical trials, and AIDS research.
